Lorne Robson

Lorne Robson was a Communist politician in Manitoba, Canada. He was the leader of the Communist Party of Canada - Manitoba during the 1988 provincial and federal elections, having apparently succeeded Paula Fletcher as party leader in 1986.
In the provincial election, Robson ran in the riding of Burrows and received 79 votes. Liberal William Chornopyski won the riding with 3,114 votes. Later in the same year, he ran for the federal riding of Winnipeg North Centre, and received 179 votes.〔( Toronto Star ) (Nov. 23, 1988) ("Lorne Robson Comm 179")〕 Liberal candidate David Walker won with 12,104 votes.
Shortly thereafter, Robson moved to Ontario, and stepped down as leader of the CPC-M.
